Prototyping how we would create flat space

We did all the design, building and wiring

The initial concept for the furnishing.

We did digital renderings to simulate the lighting concept

Our studio
One of the key aims of this project was to get the public fully envolved, this culminated in deciding to host the shop in the city centre (outside of college grounds), We used M-books, weimar for the first year.
from here on are some photos of the set up and install.

Our team was built of 5 different nationalities.

Everything was designed to be modular, using pink velcro to attach individual parts together.

We had to rewire alot of the events space since we didnt have enough outlets for lighting.

Not everything went smoothly....

But we got there......Eventually.

The first time we turned on the lights in the space.

On our grand opening for the first Bauhaus student shop,
named "nu" as a hint to our multinational team.
we had 3 radio stations, 4 tv crews (national german television) and other blogs and reporters on the first day.

We opened a panel to find work we wanted to sell, giving students a chance to apply.

We also set up a bar in the shop.

We each made post cards in the colours of the shop as a celebration

I want to say a huge thank you to the Bauhaus uni Weimar for this opportunity.
Thank you to Prof. Gerrit Babtist and the other college staff.
The "nu" shop is still running and has been handed off to the next set of students to have their own influence on.
